Biography - Such as I can share

In the tradition of David John Moore Cornwell — known to most by his nom de plume John le Carré — at the beginning of his literary career, C. L. Broogle is the pen name of a currently serving member of the US Intelligence Community.

For over a decade Broogle has served in a variety of collection, operational support, and analytical production roles at multiple intelligence organizations. Most recently Broogle has taken a position as a futurist within the community. A key portion of this role is to challenge the mental maps or stories we tell ourselves about what the future holds — and by doing so blind ourselves about the degree of uncertainty we face. Additionally Broogle serves as an adjunct professor at the National Intelligence University.

On the collection and operational support side, Broogle’s service has included Cyber Operations, Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT). This includes work with ███, █████, and █████ as well as the ███’s ██████ ██████ & ███’s ████ program. On the analytical side, this has included tactical, operational support, and strategic all-source analysis produced for the most senior US policymakers. This work has involved support to ███████ and serving as a SME on ████████, ███████ ████, ██████, and ████.

In addition, Broogle has and continues to train and aid members of federal law enforcement, intelligence community, and the military— including individuals within the most elite elements of the special forces such as ████, ████ ████ █ & ██ — bespoke OSINT collection and exploitation techniques.

Prior to service in the US Intelligence Community, Broogle worked in a variety of the most highly connected think tanks within Washington D.C. This role included regular briefings to members of Congress, testifying on Capitol Hill, and advising some of the most senior individuals within the executive branch of the US government on a variety of international, transnational, and security policy issues. With two decades of professional work in the arena of national security and international affairs, which includes a Masters of Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University, Broogle brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the narrative form.
